Not surprisingly, the Chinese giant DJI continues to hold a strong grip on the commercial drone market, continuing in its number one spot on our best drone manufacturing companies infographic. The second place, also keeping its spot from last year, is the French drone manufacturer Parrot. The American drone manufacturer Skydio has managed to gain substantial shares on our rankings, overpassing the Chinese XAG which had taken third place in 2021. Rounding up the top 5 we find JOUAV, which climbed one spot from 2021 and into the top 5 in 2022.
Regarding the companies that produce dual-use drones, the top two companies AeroVironment and Insitu continue their reign as the market leaders, with Inistu very close to tying for first place. Another American company, Anduril, made substantial gains and entered our ranking all the way into the top 3, surpassing the Israeli drone manufacturer Aeronautics. Taking the final spot in the top 5 we find the Austrian drone manufacturer Schiebel.
