BENEFIT OF COMMERCIAL DRONE STOCKS CATEGORIZED

In today’s investment landscape, it is critical to find patterns and trends earlier than the competition. Our Commercial Drone Stocks Categorized Infographic provides a first step in categorizing the various drone stocks that are available in financial markets around the globe. Given the inherent variability (if not volatility) of stock prices, the stock price is less important than the industry that a company operates in as well as its competitors. The fact that these are ranked by market cap doesn’t inherently mean that the companies are ranked from best to worst. For example, as the infographic shows, the passenger drone company with the lowest market cap (Ehang) also has the highest share price ($12.62). Therefore it is important to focus on many factors rather than simply the drone share price or market capitalization.

One important factor of the Commercial Drone Stocks Categorized infographic is the 52-week range for the drone stock prices. This shows the highest and lowest point that the stocks have  reached between March 2021 and March 2022. If we look at companies whose current stock price is over US$10 we find: AeroVironment, ACSL, and Ehang. Furthermore, 7 commercial drone stocks have varied by more than US$10 between their high and low over the past year. In other words, ten US dollars can still get an investor into the drone market at a time before several new regulations kick in and the industry becomes much more active. Considering the high potential and maturing market for drone technology, it is understandable that several investors are eager to invest in a DJI drone stock or looking forward to a potential Skydio IPO. However, even if these companies do not decide to go public, investors still have several commercial drone stocks to choose from.

CONTENT

Our infographic shows commercial drone stocks categorized into passenger drones, drone manufacturers, and services/holding companies. All of these stocks include the company logo, country of location, recent headlines, ticker symbol, date of their IPO, 52-week range, and market capitalization [at the time of writing]. These are ranked [on the far right side] by market cap from highest to lowest within each category. Among the various pieces of information that are shown in the infographic as a whole, these two are the primary ways that we chose to have commercial drone stocks categorized.

Furthermore, the infographic shows drone shares prices. As it is done traditionally, the stock prices are coded in green when they closed with an increasing trend and in red when it was a decreasing trend. Though these numbers certainly fluctuate every day, the Commercial Drone Stocks Categorized infographic is primarily meant to organize and highlight the drone companies that are listed in top markets, not their temporary stock prices. Among the key factors for those who are most interested in investing, the recent headlines and the 52-week range should provide an idea of how the companies have been performing vs where they currently stand and what major events have been reported about them.

All of the data was collected from MarketWatch on Saturday 26 March 2022. Tis was done to ensure that all global financial markets were closed and the stock price would not be constantly-changing for some stocks while stable for others.

For more information about commercial drone stocks categorized, read our blog post. Here is an excerpt from the blog:

“Unfortunately for many drone enthusiasts, there is no such thing as a DJI drone stock or Skydio stock. Fortunately, however, there are still several commercial drone stocks encompassing various industry segments. We previously addressed this topic of stocks in a blog post from 2021, and we figured it’s time for an update by diving deeper into the topic and providing an infographic with these commercial drone stocks categorized into sectors.”
