The Global State of Drones (formerly the Drone Industry Barometer) is Droneii‘s annual free white paper measuring the state of the global industry. This white paper is based on the Global Drone Industry Survey, the most wide-reaching and inclusive global survey of the drone industry that provides insights about the drone industry coming directly from drone companies themselves. This year, the survey was conducted in May-July 2024 and received 964 responses from 94 countries.

Initially launched in 2018 as a European-focused initiative, the Global State of Drones (formerly “Barometer”) has since evolved into a worldwide assessment, drawing insights from over 1,000 drone companies and over 80 countries in almost every continent. This transformation underscores its status as one of the most inclusive and detailed evaluations of the drone market.

Each and every year, the survey is released around Spring time and responses are collected for a period of around two months.
