Germany has played a leading role in the drone market from the outset, and it continues to be at the forefront of drone technology. It is among the top countries in terms of drone investment, and some local companies are leading the charge in aspects such as air mobility. Meanwhile, Switzerland is almost 10x smaller than Germany in terms of population, yet its drone ecosystem is not 1/10 of Germany’s, which speaks highly of the Swiss drone market. In terms of ranking within Europe, this places the German market as the number one market in absolute terms and number 9 per capita. Meanwhile the Swiss market ranks fourth in absolute terms and is the number one market on a per capita basis. Therefore, it is not surprising that both markets at expected to grow at rates of 14.5% CAGR in Germany and 10.6% in Switzerland.”
